1About the CREDITS

What is CREDITS?

The CREDITS stands for Clinical Research EDucation and Interactive Training System.
It is a continuous systematic education & training curriculum for clinical researchers and specialists. It’s a multiple learning system in which users can participate in e-learning courses and apply for educational programs such as seminars and lectures etc.

How is it different from CITI?

CREDITS focuses on clinical study, which includes (specific) methodologies for planning and implementing the study.

Will I receive certificate upon taking this course?

Upon successfully completing our course, you will be able to print Certificate of Completion from your e-learning account.
However, completion certificate for FY 2015, will be issued only by the University of Tokyo.

How do I register and take e-learning course?

To enroll in the course you will be required to fill out the initial registration form and "create a new account".

What types of content are available?

Besides taking part in the e-learning course, users can apply for seminars and workshops etc.

Can anyone enroll and use this e-learning system?

Anyone affiliated with 8 national universities can enroll and use the system.

My department and faculty is not on the list?

In case your department does not appear on the list please select OTHER.

Is it difficult to use this e-learning system?

You can easily use the system by moving the mouse cursor.

2Operating environment

What is the recommended operating environment?

Is there any special software needed?

No special software is required. Anyone who has internet connectable computer and recommended browsers installed can join the course.
Some e-learning courses require Flash Player. Please download latest version of Flash Player from the website.

Can I view e-learning on mobile devices such as smartphones or cell phones?

E-learning will not be accessible via mobile device.

3Regarding operating procedure

(1) Registration

I have registered for the course but cannot log in. What do I need to do?

Did you click on the URL that was sent to you after initial registration?
Your registration will only be complete when you click on the URL link provided in the email.
Please be sure to complete registration process within 120 hours, since URL will be invalid after 120 hours.

I clicked on the “confirmation button” but I am unable to move to confirmation screen.

You might not have entered or selected items required.
Please check you have entered items highlighted as mandatory fields.

Nothing shows up on the list of department/faculty list.

High security settings may have disabled Javascript. Please enable Javascript in your browser.

My organization is not in the list.

If your department/faculty does not appear in the list select “Other”

What do I choose as job description?

Please click on the job description button and select that matches with yours.
You can choose multiple answers, if applicable.

Is it possible to have two accounts, if I change my registered email address?

You can have two accounts but your learning records will be deleted.
Each user is allowed to have only one user account.
If you forgot your password, please refer to the section on “How to change password”.

(2) About taking e-learning (ICT-related education) course

Content does not appear on the screen.

Flash player may not be installed properly.Please download latest version of Flash Player from the Adobe Systems.

My learning records shows course not taken.

Check you haven’t created account again.If you change your account settings, all your records will be initialized and account will show unused.
Log in from original account, your records will be displayed again.

I have completed course successfully still screen shows "course untaken".Also my scores do not appear on the screen.

Depending on the network environment you may not receive training records. You will need to re-take the course.

(3) Regarding seminars, lectures and workshop application.

How do I apply for seminars/workshops?

Window will open showing seminars in the curriculum. Click on the tittle of the seminar you wish to take, you will be registered for the same.
Next, check your inbox for a confirmation email because sometimes it takes few minutes for an email to reach the user. Finally, return to the course listing screen and confirm the message “registration completed”.

I’m not sure if I am registered for face-to-face courses (lectures and seminars)?

If you are registered, message saying “registration completed” will appear at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
If the screen shows “registration open” it means your registration did not go through successfully.

Where can I find admission ticket for seminar?

If you click on the course you have registered for, “entry ticket button” will appear, print the ticket and bring it with you to the seminar.

(4) Regarding change of registered information.

My email address has changed. Can I re-register it myself?

Please click "My Profile" on the left menu, your current information will appear. Overwrite your new email address and click on "edit profile".
You will receive an email, click on the link (URL) your information will be reset.

(5) In case you forgot your password

I forgot my password.

It is the one you entered in the password field during your initial registration? Please recheck.

Please click on the “forgot password” button, below the login screen. Enter your email address, we’ll send you a link to reset your password. Note, the email address you enter must match the email you used during the initial registration

I forgot password, also my registered email address is no longer valid.

Please contact us by the email address given on our website.
Please do not create a new account. If you create a new account your training records will be deleted.

  • We will only answer your email inquiries during our working hours.
  • If you find problems in the site, please let us know about it and also about your PC environment, such as OS name and version, browser name and version.
  • If you are reporting problems, please attach the screen capture of the error.
